Éducatrice en garderie

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Éducatrice en garderie to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for early childhood education. The position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive setting where the well-being and development of children are the top priorities.

Duties

• Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding routines, adhering to food safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organised environment, including toys and play areas
• Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities
• Implement behaviour management strategies in line with centre policies
• Assist with daily routines such as nappy changing, dressing, and rest periods
• Collaborate with team members to plan educational programmes and activities

Requirements

• Prior experience or background in hospitality, food preparation, or culinary arts is advantageous but not essential
• Experience as a delivery driver or in restaurant, hotel, or barista roles is beneficial for organisational skills and customer service orientation
• Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette are essential
• Knowledge of food safety standards and meal preparation techniques
• Passion for working with children and understanding of early childhood development principles
• Ability to organise tasks efficiently within a busy environment
• Valid certification in first aid or willingness to obtain prior to employment is preferred

Pay: $16.10-$39.94 per hour
